I feel your pain/joy. I hope it makes you feel better that someone else you know is attached to a pump night and day too! It definitely made me feel better knowing that you have been there!Sydneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00266805966971937706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6310013791243189680.post-89444322036582986302011-05-28T11:08:09.971-06:002011-05-28T11:08:09.971-06:00Poor Randee! I used a shield for quite a while with Levi; don't feel bad about whatever choice you make.Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11508499619459712520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6310013791243189680.post-85402353822289356412011-05-23T12:13:55.621-06:002011-05-23T12:13:55.621-06:00It's amazing how you think things will go or h...It's amazing how you think things will go or how things are "supposed to" happen when you have a baby. You just gotta do what is best for yourself and for your little one. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I really have some friends that I think could benefit from your ideas and from pumping rather than struggling so much with breastfeeding. I hope all is going well in Seattle!Travis and Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16025757367767083201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6310013791243189680.post-11393101984516887842011-05-23T11:51:07.612-06:002011-05-23T11:51:07.612-06:00I tried so hard to breast-feed both my kids and me...I tried so hard to breast-feed both my kids and met with so many lactation specialists and read so many books on it that I feel like I could be a lactation specialist!
I ended up having to give up because I just don't produce the milk. My son lost so much weight that I finally took him to the doctor and found out he was only getting 1/2 ounce a feeding.
Both my mom and my grandma can't breast-feed for the same reason, it's genetic, and even though I tried so hard and I knew it was genetic, it was way harder mentally. I cried and cried and cried because I felt like such a failure.
However, I bond just as much by bottle feeding and both my kids are doing great.
So I guess the moral of my super-long comment is, just do what you can and that's what is right!Brighamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17893190963489398193noreply@blogger.com
